A few comments:

World population is to a pot of boiling water as all other problems are to a frog worrying about his lack of gills.

And we still do not have a global one child rule. Our world governments show amazing ineptitude when they only deal with problems after they grow out of control, instead of addressing them as they emerge.

Quickly: Someone go outside and fire wildly into the crowds! It's the only way to diminish the population!
